Accreditation

All Energy Assessors need to be members of an Accreditation Scheme before they can issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs), Advisory Reports or Air-Conditioning Reports. Accreditation provides assurance for your clients that you are competent to do the job, professionally qualified, and properly insured.

At ecmk we pride ourselves on the personal service that we offer to our Assessors particularly in relation to:

  • technical support
  • quality assurance
  • ongoing training (CPD)
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance (available on a "pay-per-EPC" basis for some types of assessment).

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications can be received either via e-mail or post and will be processed by our Accreditation Administrator. Along with your application we will require the following:

  • CRB that is less than 12 months old.
  • Qualification Certificates.
  • Proof of ID such as passport or drivers license.
  • Proof of address such as a utility bill.
  • Insurance - Professional Indemnity and Public Liability.
  • Photo

All of these can be colour copies with the exception of the CRB which will need to be endorsed by an employer or a person of standing in the community who can confirm that the copy is a true likeness of the original.

The Accreditation Administrator will also complete a Credit Check. Once the Administrator is satisfied that every document has been received and checked they will send you a pack with includes an Accredited Member Certificate and an ID Card. An e-mail will also be sent to you with your Log In details for our software.

We aim to complete all Applications within 48 working hours.
