Training Courses for energy assessors and other courses

Energy Assessors wishing to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs), or Air-Conditioning Reports, will need to become members of an Accreditation Scheme such as those run by ecmk. Those that have been working in energy assessment for a number of years can qualify through their prior experience (the APEL route) but less experienced applicants will need to gain the necessary Diploma - a nationally- recognised qualification as an Energy Assessor.

ecmk is approved by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) to deliver its Energy Assessor qualifications. ecmk runs training programmes to provide candidates with the knowledge, technical and professional skills required of an Energy Assessor.  Each candidate's competence is then formally assessed to ensure that they meet the relevant National Occupational Standard (NOS).

We provide each candidate with:

  • training combining classroom and "on-site" visits
  • comprehensive course material, which also acts as a technical reference
  • support from a professional Qualification Assessor for each individual throughout their assessment

ecmk runs regular courses at its dedicated Training Centre in Milton Keynes, but will also run courses at other locations, if required.

Please call the sales team on 08456 123999 or send an email to training@ecmk.co.uk for course dates.

We are currently re-designing our CPD programme to include both classroom-based and on-line courses. Click here for the latest programme of CPD events
