SpeedEngine Main Features - SpeedEngine can accept two types of input data:
ECMK SpeedEngine can accept two types of input data to provide either a Full SAP or an Indicative SAP, each implementing SAP 2001 and BREDEM-12 2001 calculation procedures. The SEDBUK boiler database has also been included to maximise accuracy of SAP calculation.

The DLL also implements a cost file editor, a defaults editor and a general setup screen.
|
Indicative SAP allows results to be calculated for as little as ten data items. More data items can be added to provide a more accurate result. Indicative SAP is based on the widely recognised Level 0 and 1 data sets.

Full SAP is a fully detailed SAP assessment requiring a larger number of input data items. All items must be entered in order to produce a result.
|
The Indicative SAP and the Full SAP are completely independent of each other and either one can be used to produce a result.
|

The Indicative SAP is to be superseded in 2006 by the Reduced Data SAP (RD SAP), currently under development. ECMK is committed to replacing the Indicative SAP with the RD SAP as soon as it is published.
|
Annual costs and CO2 results are for ‘total energy’ and are calculated using the revised BREDEM 12 2001 engine which includes lighting, appliances and an allowance for degree-day region.
|

All SAP and SEDBUK functionality is built into SpeedEngine, including selection screens. Developers do not require any prior knowledge of these worksheets to implement them.
|

ECMK SpeedEngine is available under licence to companies who develop software systems for asset management, stock condition surveying and energy efficiency improvement, providing a powerful tool to assist business planning, monitoring and reporting.
