On-Construction (New Build)
ecmk can provide you with all you need to become an On-Construction Energy Assessor (OCEA), producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for new dwellings on-construction.
The EPC is produced from an assessment using the SAP methodology, already used to show compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations. Accredited OCEAs are also qualified to carry out design assessments using SAP for Building Control purposes.
ecmk works closely with JPA, a leading supplier of government-approved SAP software. www.techlit.co.uk
ecmk operates an Accreditation Scheme for On-Construction Energy Assessors which will give you:
- A licence to operate
- A means of lodging the EPCs you produce with the Central Register
- Technical survey support
- On-going training for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- The assurance of a quality control process
All Energy Assessors need to be accredited to lodge EPCs.
On-Construction Energy Assessors can accredit either by holding the DipOCEA or CertOCEA.
