Important Update for the New EPC Register

View all posts

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has decided to bring ownership of the EPC register service in-house and combine the national registers to form a single UK register (excluding Scotland). This has caused changes to the EPC register which are taking place on Sunday 20 September. Due to this, it is recommended that all incomplete assessments are completed and lodged on or before Saturday 19 September. Furthermore, please do not lodge or start any new assessments on Sunday 20 September to avoid any lodgement or calculation issues.

The new register and the ecmk portal, Assessor Hub, will be live from Monday 21 September.

Can ALL Non-Domestic energy assessors please download the new version of iSBEM from the UK’s National Calculation Method for Non Domestic Buildings website here to allow lodgements to the new register from Monday 21 SeptemberRead our useful guide for this here.

The EPC will now be a live, responsive web-based document which will automatically amend with fuel and energy price changes, climate changes and any other NOS (National Occupational Standard) changes or amendments which will ultimately update running costs in real time.

We will be offering FREE CPD sessions for members with any further issues or requirements over the following weeks.

We also have a helpful training video and guidance notes for all our energy assessor members on how to use our software and lodge reports to the new central register.

If you do have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the team on telephone no. 0333 123 1418
