Significant Milestone for the Retrofit Industry

View all posts

Today marks a significant milestone for the retrofit industry, as the new PAS 2030-19 standard (previously PAS 2030:2017) becomes mandated for all ECO3 funded energy efficiency installations, effective from the 1st July.

All work must be carried out in accordance with PAS 2035, which is the framework that drives the requirement for the ‘Whole House Approach’, which is way forward for the sustainability of the built environment in the UK.

This means, all installations must be carried out and lodged in accordance with the PAS 2030-19 and PAS 2035 standards, by individuals accredited to these standards. This will require a range of Retrofit roles involved in each installation, including Retrofit Assessors and Retrofit Coordinators, the latter who will oversee projects and lodge to the TrustMark Data Warehouse.
